My Pulsar
This is my 3rd walk behind weed Wacker and has lasted longer than 2 other brands that I’ve had, I purchased my Pulsar about 2 yrs ago and it s never let me down, just bought a new belt and ready to go, for the money I’m Happy with my Pulsar
Reason Belts go bad and what to look for
Great Wheeled String trimmer, has only one main problem, that is the Belt Tensioner, this has a carrier pully on it. Which the frame that holds the Carrier Pulley is weak and easily cracked or can be bent, this will cause it to not run inline with the belt but at and angle. The proper belt is a Kevlar A36 ( 4L380 ) Made by Good Year. So if you are having this problem as a belt starts to shred, then check this carrier Pulley or the Bracket it is attached to. It is help by a bolt with a shim and a tensioner spring. don’t lose these parts. The problem I have is the bracket that holds the carrier pulley has bent and has developed a crack. Finding this part seems to be impossible. Don’t care if I have to buy the whole assembly if i could find it.
There is always a reason Belts will shred, look further then just the belt. If the belts are worn cracked or aged this happens, with new machines and belts with limited usage, look for other causes. Our machine has limited usage and has been used for a season or two. Very few hours on it.
Belt
I have got a pulsar weed push my belt came apart I cannot find any wear what size belt to replace
Belt
My belt came apart what size belt do I need to get
Love this! It's a beast!
Use this multiple times every year. Bought it initially to clear out a ditch on my property because it was too dangerous to take a mower in that area . I’ve been able to mow there subsequently, since.I was able to clear out any debris.
