It's a workhorse
This generator saved us during Hurricane Beryl. It ran 2-8000 BTU window units, a fridge, internet, 2 computers, a microwave, and repair tools. We kept our devices charged and lights going at night. It has a 5.2-gallon tank, and it runs for 13 hours on that before needing to be refilled. We did not try the propane side as we felt it was not economical to do so. We ran this generator for 5 days straight, with no break. It never faltered; I would highly recommend this generator if you are in a pinch; it will come through for you. Just be sure to read the manual and have the right size of power cords, and you will thank me later. The only thing I would change on the generator is a larger gas tank.
It came through when I needed it.
Hurricane Beryl knocked out our power and after a day I knew we weren’t getting restored anytime soon. With very limited cell and internet I found these for sale from a reseller on FBMP. I paid $600 for it. It was not as advertised by the seller and did not have an electric start. The box was shrink wrapped when I got it and like an idiot, didn’t have anything to open the box with 🙁 so I didn’t check. In dire need I was able to run 2 fridges, the internet and 2 desktop computers, a portable AC unit and 2 TV’s.
It is not as good as others as far as features go, but it ran for 60 hours non stop just fine. It used about a 10 gallons of gas per 24 hours. I went to WM and got splitter plugs for the outlets and used the 110 standard and the 30 amp outlets simultaneously on the unit. It is no louder than any other regular generator of similar size that I have been around. It is about what I expected to pay for what it is.
Missing a few things from the lower cost ones
Ok bought this as they said it had all the bells and whistles to it. Ok it has CO2 shutoff and has 2 less reg AC plugs from all the other ones. It runs 1000watt less than the one without CO2 shutoff. So you sacrifice a few things to gain CO2 shutoff. Would not of hurt to add the 4 reg AC plugs like all the other ones not sure why they dropped them. And the funny thing with all the meters they only work when its running and once you power it off they loose memory strange. Instructions said hookup battery hmm this model don’t have a elect starter. Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice generator but for the top of the line in this base generator it has lot’s of things missing from it. As most everyone says “IT’S LOUD” not really i’ve had a few that was like a jet plane lol. There is nothing telling you do you have to shut off the gas to run it on Propane that i could find and no videos talking about it. You don’t have to as when you turn the dial on the front it stops the flow of gasoline to the carb but I still shut the fuel off just in case something goes crazy. If you don’t need to know about the CO2 level and shutoff I’d go with the one without it as you GAIN 2 more 120volt plugs and 1000 more watts. And i have yet to find where the SER# is for warranty.
